North Coast Spring Meeting |

We love learning & staying up to date on the latest educational information, so on Wednesday, May 4th all Stefano Dental team members attended several different continuing education courses at The North Coast Spring Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio. We participated in table clinics, which are short 10-15 minute presentations about dental materials, procedures, or techniques. We also focused on the top 200 medications, and communication between patients, team members, and the community.

Donation to Victory Shower House |

For the month of April we were a drop off location for The Shower House at Victory Kitchen, to help them open up fully stocked. We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone that made a donation! Dr. Stefano and some dental team members took two car loads of items over to the shower house, they were very grateful, again THANK YOU!

Join us on Monday, July 11th at Sheldon’s Marsh State Nature Preserve, Stefano Dental will be participating in the Walk with a Doc program to Educate, Exercise, and Empower! Every Monday at 6:30pm From May 2, 2016- August 29, 2016 (except Memorial Day and 4th of July) you can participate in walking for a healthier you at different locations across Erie County Metro Parks. Make A Vet Smile Day |

We want to help serve those who have served our country by closing our office on Friday, November 11th 2016 to re-open for one day only as Make-A-Vet-Smile-Day! All veterans are welcome, we will be performing all aspects of dentistry from x-rays, exams, cleanings, fillings, root canals, and extractions all at no cost! With the limited time we will only be addressing the most emergent teeth and follow up care may be needed with their regular dentist. This will be first come, first served starting at 7:30am until 2pm.

Melanie is Stefano Dental’s benefits coordinator. The tasks she performs are mainly done behind the scenes. She works to ensure our patients insurance eligibility and dental benefits information are obtained and verified. She also assists our business administrator with many other duties. She has been in the dental field since 1997 and has been a part of the Stefano Dental Team since 2006. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Donny and their six (soon to be 7, in September) wonderful kids. She also likes reading, dancing and dominoes. Oreo Ice Box Cake is her favorite dessert!
Oreo Ice Box Cake
3 pkgs Oreo Thins
1-8oz. pkg Cream Cheese
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
2 ½ Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
Mix heavy whipping cream for 1-2minutes let it sit and set up then add softened cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix for about 4 mins. Spread layer of whipped topping on plate for base. Place Oreo’s on whip topping and continue layering. Final layer is to be whipped topping and some Oreo’s or crumbles. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Cut, serve, and enjoy!

Stuff The Bus |

Each school year, over 2,800 children in Erie County will lack the supplies needed to enter the classroom ready to learn. United Way of Erie County, The Volunteer Center, Stefano Dental and other local area businesses are partnering together for our community. Our goal is to provide full backpacks to low-income children entering grades K-5 for the upcoming 2016/2017 school year. Starting Wednesday, June 29th-Friday, July 29th we will have a collection box located in our patient lobby if you would like to join us in donating to our community.
