OPTIONS is a program offered by the Ohio Dental Association in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Health. OPTIONS links Ohio’s uninsured working poor, low income seniors and persons who are medically, mentally, physically challenged with volunteer dentists or dental clinics to provide donated or discounted care depending on their financial status.
How does a person qualify to receive dental care through OPTIONS?
To qualify for OPTIONS, patients must meet income guidelines and not have any form of dental insurance or Medicaid. Potential patients can call the toll-free telephone number, 1-888-765-6789, which will connect them to a regional office to receive an application or talk to a referral coordinator. After eligibility has been determined, the patient is matched with a nearby participating dentist.
